Week 7, 2006 Part 2

Mario Brothers is Theme for 2006 Ski Show

The colorful flags were the opening act for the annual camper/staff water ski show presented on the last visitation day for all to enjoy. The water was decent, the weather was warm, and the skiers performed extremely well in their roles as all the Nintendo characters in the Mario Brothers game. Unique and entertaining, the show is always one of the highlights of the final days of the camp season.

Two on one ski performed by Christine and Sammi.

J.Lo shows us her talents on a single canoe paddle.

Staff tubers chase the bad guys.

Small flags make for a colorful act.

The staff take the big leap off Slippery Sidney.

Hey...are those the caper flags?

Mario seeks the princess by the castle.

Forty two campers and Jack-Bear-Warren (as Sandy) chose to participate in the '06 drama group.

An Oscar performance to Rachel as Miss Hannigan!

Star-to-Be leads the musical number "NYC".

Christopher Starz Leadership Award

                    Christopher Andrew Starz

                    Third Generation Owner

                        Camp Nicolet, Inc.

In memory of Christopher, 2006 is the first time a Nicolet camper will be honored and recognized for their strength of character, honesty and integrity, leadership ability, appreciation and respect for the environment, sensitivity toward all living things, sense of humor, good work ethics, athletic ability, and pure joy of life. All Nicolet campers including Counselors in Training are eligible for this special award. The entire staff nominates several candidates and chooses by secret ballot the camper who best fits these qualities. Our 2006 Nicolet Final Banquet is dedicated to Topher.

The Starz family was honored to present the first Christopher Starz Leadership Award to Kirby, a young lady who leads by example and also shows us the joy in living each day to the fullest, as did Chris.
