2000 Alumna Reunion

The 55th Anniversary Alumna Reunion was a huge success! Approximately 80 enthusiastic alums from the '40s through the '90s attended and took full advantage of every moment of those special days back at dear ol' Nicolet. The reunion highlights included a Saturday evening campfire complete with singing all the familiar camp songs followed by snacks in the Dining Hall and a creative "Nicolet Trivia" contest which led to numerous humorous stories.

Sunday was warm and windy, a great day for sailing and trail riding to the new tipi in the Old Pasture. The tennis tournament was a huge success and, after many exciting matches, was ultimately won by Marion "Sandy" Sanborn '48-'51 who paired up with Kate Tregunna, our current Tennis Director from Great Britain. Sunday evening's entertainment was provided by the Alumna Talent Show with such traditional acts as "Seven Old Ladies", "Blue", and a special presentation by the '99 staff of excerpts from a play written this summer based on the history of Nicolet.

Monday started on a thoughtful note with an outstanding Vesper Service followed by more fun activities throughout the day. The final banquet filled the evening with outstanding food, touching speeches, awards, a great fashion show of Nicolet styles throughout the years, and a premier showing of the 50th Anniversary video. The burning "N" completed the memorable reunion and reminded us that, no matter how much time has passed, the spirit of Nicolet will burn in our hearts forever!
