USA Water Ski Instructor Certificationicationfication

Eligibility Open to all levels of skiers 16 and older, novice through advanced, who desire the training required to become a competent Level-1 instructor and boat driver.
Content Three days of intensive on-the-water instruction and practical experience in personal skiing and wakeboarding skills, boat driving, and progressive teaching techniques. A special water ski rescur/backboarding seminar is a critical part of this course. Evenings are spent in lecture, video,and completion of the written self-study course. Includes USA Water Ski Instructor manual.
Dates June 7-10, 2008
8:00 pm Saturday June 7 through 1:30 pm Tuesday June 10
Fees $35.00 (under 25) or $60.00 (over 25)- USA Water Ski membership (required for certification)
$25.00 - Instructor Certification Fee
$160.00 - Course fee. Includes eight meals, lodging, use of equipment, and instruction
Registration $185.00 payable to Camp Nicolet, Inc. must be enclosed with the completed application. Student must pay membership fee directly to USA Water Ski.

Wilderness First Aid (Wilderness Medical Associates)


Eligibility 16 years or older. 16-17 year olds must provide written proof of parental consent.
Content 16 hours of core curriculum and elective options including patient assessment, body systems, equipment improvisation, trauma, environmental medicine, toxins, backcountry medicine, and wilderness rescue. Dealing with medical emergencies when help is miles away and dialing 911 is not an option! Look for complete course details at www.wildmed.com
Dates June 9-10, 2008
Registration is at 8:00 am, Monday, June 9.
Fees $225 - Includes six meals, lodging, course, instructor, and facility fee.
Registration Completed application form and fee to Camp Nicolet. Minimum 8 students, maximum 18 students.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

Eligibility 15 years or older
Content

Waterfront lifeguarding - for lifeguards at non-surf, open water environments such as lakes and rivers, as well as traditional pools. Surveillance skills to recognize and prevent injuries, rescue skills (water and land), first aid and professional rescuer CPR, and professional lifeguarding

responsibilities. 30 - 37 hours.

Dates June 7, 8:00 a.m. - June 10, 5:00 p.m.
Fees $250 - includes 12 meals, lodging, course, instructor and facility fee.
Registration Completed application form and fee to Camp Nicolet.

All fees must be paid in full by the June 1st deadline.
