What A Camper Learns
Visitation
Soon the time will come to welcome those of you who will be driving your
daughter to and from camp or who are coming to visit with us. Before your
arrival at Nicolet, we want to remind you of a few guidelines so you can
plan your trip accordingly. Once again, we enjoy having you visit with your
daughter at any time between July 2nd through August 11. During this time, a camper may have one full day out of camp.
The only exception will be if two parents are visiting separately, in which
case each parent may have one full day each. You may spend additional time
in camp with your daughter if you so desire. Grandparents, relatives and
friends are certainly welcome to visit as well, and with your written
consent only, a camper may take her day out of camp with them if you
are unable to visit. It is also fun to have parents join us for our special
camp events.
We would appreciate your cooperation in adhering to the following policies,as it will result in an enjoyable visitation for all of us.
Parent Visitation Guidelines
Visiting hours are from 8:30 am until 8:30 pm. Campers do not leave camp overnight (CITs have this privledge only).
All camp guests are to report to the camp office immediately upon arrival. Please pick up your ID visitor
tag which is to be worn whenever you are on the camp grounds.
When returning to camp in the evening, campers are to be dropped off at Forest Lodge where their counselors
will meet them. Visitors are not permitted in the cabin area after 7:00 PM. If attending Saturday evening campfire,
please go directly to the parking area via the road.
Camp is closed to visitors the final day of the third session, as that is packing day and our final banquet
and awards evening...our last day together as a camp family!
If you are unable to visit us at camp, with your written permission, your daughter may accept an invitation to join
another family. She may leave camp one time with another family, not multiple times. |

All cars are to be in designated parking areas only. Cars are not to be driven through camp at any time (other
than delivering or picking up campers' luggage at beginning or end of session).
No candy, food or gum should be brought on the camp premises.
No pets are permitted on the camp grounds.
Please respect camper and staff privacy. Male visitors are permitted inside the cabins only when invited.
You must ask cabin staff permission before taking any video or photos inside cabins.
Please do not extend gratuities or monetary gifts to staff members ( this is an American Camping Association
Best Practices policy).
The tennis area is open to visitors when classes are not in progress. Tennis shoes must be worn at all times on the
courts. Other activity areas are for campers only and closed to visitors for swimming, boating, sailing, skiing, and horseback riding.
A rest room is located in Forest Lodge for the convenience of visitors. Please do not use cabin bathrooms. A handicapped
accessible bathroom is also available to guests.
Smoking, alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms, and fireworks are absolutely prohibited on the camp premises.
Some Visitation Hints and Tips
Eagle River is a large resort area and it is advisable to make reservations
for accommodations as early as possible. Contact the Eagle
River Area Chamber of Commerce (1-800-359-6315) for a complete listing
of motels and resorts in the area. Also refer to the last page of your camp
calendar and the Parents page of this website.
For parents planning to visit during the final activity day of first session,
we request that your daughter is in camp at rest hour as
we will be presenting special awards at that time.
Please let us know your visiting plans in ample time to ensure that your daughter is not away from camp
on a trip. The special trip schedule is also listed on the Northpoint Adventures website or you can call the camp office for information.
The camper staying on for the next session will be enjoying a special out-of-camp trip between sessions. They will depart camp mid-morning
and return late afternoon on change-over Saturday with a fun evening planned.
We wish you a safe trip to the Northwoods and look forward to seeing you!
