Camp Sister Party Kicks Off  Second Session

S'mores in the Council Ring start the summer off right!

Big and little Camp Sisters get to know each other during

the Camp Sister party on the second evening of camp.

Sea Kayakers Begin Their Great Adventure

Seven senior campers pose with Chris and Crystal before departing for Lake Superior on Tuesday morning.

Nicolet kayakers participated in a 2 hour safety course

conducted by the Chequamegon Adventure Company who provides the guide and equipment for this special

4 day trip. The paddlers will explore sea caves, sandy beaches, shipwrecks, and old lighthouses found among the Apostle Islands of eastern Lake Superior.

Fun Times on Wednesday Cabin Cookouts

Top left: Fir cabin makes banana boats at the Pioneer

Unit. Ummmm good!

Top right: Deerpath girls enjoy their tinfoil dinners at

Chickadee Ridge.

Middle right: Spruce campers and staff have a Nalgene toast to their awesome cookout at Caribou Point.

Right bottom: Pines prepares for their first overnight

of the session at Strawberry Hill. Each cabin will have the opportunity for an over night camp out during each

session. Pines campers will also be exploring the Sylvania Wilderness Area on a 3 day canoe trip later in the summer. And...once again, Pines won the potatoes!

Jeremy awards a potato fry every Wednesday to the cabin that has the most caper points for the week. So far, Pines ladies seem to be the tidiest campers at Camp Nicolet. Keep up the good work!

Awesome Activities

All the awesome camp activities are in high gear including

sailing, inline skating, biking, and tennis to name a few.

Creative arts and crafts campers are busy taking digital

photos and making picture frames. Other second session projects will include some very cool candle making.

Sleeping in a tent is like a big slumber party!

Trampball is a Popular Activity for All Ages

Four ground-level padded trampolines form the field for

many rousing games of trampball. While jumping, campers

play four square and try to get to the top spot.

Campers await their turn to jump on the trampolines. Trampball is offered as one of the sign-up sports activities and always has a very full roster.

Franklin Factoid: Did you know there are campers at Nicolet this summer that

come from the United States, Spain, Mexico, England, Germany, and China? It's a small world after all!

Parent Reminders:For all parents who will be visiting this summer, please go to the Parents Page of our web site.  Print and send us the visitation reservation form and also review the Visitation Guidelines prior to your arrival. We look forward to seeing you

and having you spend time at camp and with your daughter. For those of you visiting during the final week of camp (August 7-11), you are invited to join us for the special events that will be taking place in many of the activity areas - more details to follow.
